Shutter Canyon was founded by Tara Giles, a portrait photographer with more than 10 years of experience photographing seniors and families throughout the South Sound.
Her approach combines thoughtful planning, natural posing, and beautiful outdoor locations to create portraits that feel authentic while still having a polished, editorial look.
Clients often describe the experience as relaxed and enjoyable — helping even those who feel nervous about being photographed feel comfortable in front of the camera.
While Shutter Canyon will continue to grow as a studio, many portrait sessions are still photographed personally by Tara.

Portrait collections begin at $900, with most families investing between $1,400 and $2,400 for their final artwork and digital images.
